UNB's Gerard V. La Forest Law Library lends or provides photocopies or .pdf scanned documents of its materials, subject to the policies below. Please e-mail us or call 506-453-4734 with questions about our policies.

INTERLIBRARY LOANS:

We do not lend directly to individuals, firms or organizations outside the Fredericton area. We honour requests for loans only from other libraries. Please contact the university, public, courthouse, law society, government or other library with whom you are affiliated. Ask that they initiate a request by contacting us at lawill@unb.ca or at 506-453-4734.

Materials are lent, via the requesting library, for three weeks, with one three-week renewal allowed.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR BORROWING OUR MATERIALS. The fee for replacement of lost materials is the current price of the item plus a $50.00 processing fee per lost item.

We do not lend periodicals, law reports, statutes, government documents, loose-leaf volumes, rare books, reference materials, videotapes, DVDs, audiotapes, or items on reserve for law school courses.

DOCUMENT DELIVERY:

Subject to Canadian Copyright Act provisions, we will photocopy and deliver materials to academic libraries, law societies, government agencies, law and other commercial firms, non-governmental organizations, courts, and public, special and school libraries.

Fees are assessed according to the chart below. We normally invoice separately, after delivery. Delivery options are indicated on the chart.
