At the beginning of each academic year, new law students claim their account and PIN number to use the services offered via the UNB network.  Law Library staff will assist new law students in this claiming process early in the fall term.

Returning law students will be prompted via e-mail by the UNB network when they need to reclaim their account or change their PIN.

Before purchasing a personal laptop, law students should consult the Law Library's librarians or computer support personnel to obtain the current purchasing guidelines for UNB-compatible devices, including laptops, peripherals, and wireless and network cards. Students may also check the UNB Integrated Technology Services' (ITS) purchasing guidelines on the ITS website.

At the start of each academic term, there is an opportunity for law students to configure their personally-owned laptops for UNB network use.  Students are welcome to consult with Law Library computing support personnel as needed. Please contact the library for more information about laptop purchases and/or configuration.

Computer support personnel are available weekdays in the library to respond to computer / networking problems. Please report any problems with library computer equipment or networks (including wireless problems) to the Circulation Desk. Your problem will be addressed as quickly as possible.

Throughout the academic year, law students may also consult the library's Computer Support Student Assistant to get help with laptop / networking issues. Appointments may be made using the convenient sign-up notebook at the Circulation Desk.
