Photocopiers

 Print this Page

The library provides two self-serve photocopiers located in the Periodicals Reading Room on the First Floor - New Wing. The copiers are equipped with multiple-sheet feeders and will make two-sided copying on regular or legal size paper.  The copiers do NOT make color copies, nor should users attempt to photocopy any address labels or other adhesive labels using the library's copiers.

Debit cards are used in the photocopiers and may be purchased at the Law Library Circ Desk. Note: Because the systems are different, debit cards purchased at the Law Library CANNOT be used at other UNB libraries, and debit cards purchased at other UNB libraries CANNOT be used in any of the Law Library's equipment.

Persons with a UNB or STU ID card may buy Law Library debit cards as follows:

  • $2, $5, and $10 denominations, plus a $1 refundable deposit on the card itself. ($2 card = 19 copies + HST; $5 card = 48 copies + HST; $10 card = 107 copies + HST)

Persons without a UNB or STU ID card may buy debit cards as follows:

  • $10 and $20 denominations, plus a $1 refundable deposit on the card itself. ($10 card = 40 copies + HST; $20 card = 80 copies + HST)

Copies may also be made "by the page" and paid for at the Circulation Desk as follows:

  • 15 cents (including HST) per copy for persons with a UNB or STU ID card
  • 25 cents (including HST) per copy for persons without a UNB or STU ID card

The library accepts either cash or checks as payment; checks must have the purchaser's name, address and home phone number printed on them. The library does not accept credit or bank debit cards.

External users making large numbers of photocopies may pay by the page (see above) OR they may request that an invoice or charge-back be issued for amounts in excess of $10. For charges to external organizations (firms, government agencies, etc.), the user must provide a letter from his/her organization agreeing to pay for debit cards and must complete an authorization form at the Circulation Desk, which results in an invoice being sent. For campus charge-backs, the user completes an authorization form at the Circulation Desk, using the appropriate COMPLETE UNB or STU internal accounting code, which results in a charge-back to a UNB or STU internal account.
